Review by Hendrix22

Hendrix22 My fifth Phish show and night three of Dick’s, and what a memorable night it was! The day itself was beautiful, with great weather that felt like a good omen (though not a sign of what was to come the next day). I remember walking around the lot, catching the soundcheck, and distinctly hearing Old Home Place from outside the venue. The band sounded fantastic, and it was clear something special was brewing. The first set kicked off strong with Fluffhead, a perfect opener that maintained the rocking energy from the previous night. Standout moments in this set for me included great versions of My Soul, Reba, and Mound. A solid and well-paced first set overall. Set two started just as strong, with a fiery AC/DC Bag transitioning seamlessly into Chalk Dust Torture. This set was packed with highlights, including a heavy-hitting 46 Days and a good take on The Howling, but my personal favorite was the Piper, my first one and an absolutely killer version of one of my favorite phish songs to close the second set. Then there was the encore. Amazing. At 42 minutes, it felt more like a third set than a typical encore. After my first The Mango Song and Don’t Doubt Me, I would have left me satisfied, but the band just kept going, delivering an epic performance that felt like a gift. This was an amazing show and my favorite night of the run. What a way to wrap up my fifth Phish show and night three of Dick’s!
